219th Street - Shoelace Park boat launch

Located in Shoelace Park, this site also serves as a public canoe and canoe launch. There is easy access to shallow water for wading and the river bottom is primarily sandy. Bathrooms are close by as well, in an adjacent park house. This stretch of the river is extremely straight, made so by the 1952 construction of the modern Bronx River Parkway. http://www.nycgovparks.org/parks/bronxriverparkway/pressrelease/21090
