Station BR-WC-10

Valhalla/Mount Pleasant - Highclere Ln

Located at the top of the Bronx River watershed, this station is the northernmost sampling site for the Bronx River. The station itself is at a tributary of the Bronx River west of the Kensico Dam called Clove Brook. The small babbling brook flows through a culvert and and behind private properties, turning south at the Taconic State Parkway and finally joining the Bronx River South of the Kensico Dam Plaza. Access to the site is possible by walking along Highclere Lane and scrambling down a small slope where the Brook passes under the road.
